In the 1970s, a fierce rebel rises against brutal oppression and becomes the symbol of hope to legions of downtrodden people. Action,Crime,Drama I went to this movie instead of zero because of SE Rajamouli's endorsement and I was not disappointed. It should have really been a sequel to the original Agneepath. I would say the perfect masala movie. I found the non linear narration sequence a little jarring but the director almost seems to cover his shortcomings with reference to the tautness of the screenplay by using Anant Nag ( narrators) possible Alzheimer's. The sequence where the hero in the process of wooing his girl gets distracted possibly by a scene from his own childhood is absolutely Gold or should I say kolar gold. A must watch for any 80s and 90s action buffs. This ranks with Venkatesh's Shatruvu, Amitabhs Agneepath, and Sanjay Dutts Aatish. It is also heavily inspired by the first part of Baahubali. Perfect kichdi and more power to his sequel.
